Years 7 to 10

Engage with the world

Our unique, specialist junior high school structure is designed around engaging and dynamic programs. Students are encouraged to become passionate learners, explorers, interpreters, supporters, leaders and doers. The best learning occurs when we experiment, when we explore and when we try new things.

A wide variety of extracurricular activities, such as debating, representative sport, camps, excursions, student leadership, concert band, school musicals and community service challenge students to grow spiritually, socially, academically and emotionally.

Different learning styles continue to be accommodated and individual needs are met through a range of extension, enrichment and support activities.

In Years 9 & 10, elective choices are introduced. Students choose three electives each semester, allowing them to gain a broad range of experiences and get a taste of many different areas of study before choosing subjects in senior school. Electives include Visual Arts, Music, Drama, Woodwork, Sport Science, Textile Art, Photography, Computers, Architecture, Aerodynamics, Fashion Design, Restaurant, Food Technology, Business Studies and individual project-based courses.

With strong pastoral care support and an emphasis on relational teaching methods, students thrive in our Secondary school.
